IMG Nahir Contreras de Prato Foundation, IMG Hospital and CEPM join forces to prevent breast cancer
Bávaro. The IMG Nahir Contreras Foundation of Prato, together with the IMG Hospital in Punta Cana, joined the initiative of the Punta Cana-Macao Energy Consortium (CEPM) to carry out a community activity focused on the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer.
During the event, titled “Feeling good starts with self-care,” mammograms and sonomammograms were donated to 50 women in the Bávaro community, giving them the opportunity to access these essential exams for the early detection of breast cancer.
The activity took place at the Evergo Electrolinera, an innovative space committed to the well-being of the community.
Through this partnership, gift certificates were given to women without health insurance, ensuring they had free access to these important screenings, which must be completed annually to ensure early detection and increase the chances of effective treatment.
The Nahir Contreras Foundation of Prato and the IMG Hospital reiterate their commitment to the health and well-being of the community, highlighting the importance of self-care and prevention in the fight against breast cancer.
